Hey, I’m Yonette

I know how easy it is to pour into everyone else while quietly leaving yourself last. Many of the women I work with are carrying the weight of family, work, and expectations, while wondering when life will finally feel manageable or enough. If that sounds familiar, you are not alone.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York, and I support women of color and adults navigating anxiety, depression, major life transitions, health changes, and relationship challenges. My work is especially rooted in supporting women who are holding a lot, whether that shows up through parenting stress, shifting family dynamics, career changes, or seasons of uncertainty.

As a Black woman with lived experience in foster care and adoptive parenting, I bring both professional training and personal insight into the therapy space. I understand how layered family systems can be, and how deeply identity, responsibility, and history shape the way we move through the world.

My approach is collaborative, grounded, and compassionate. I draw from narrative therapy, solution focused strategies, attachment based work, and mindfulness practices to help clients better understand their patterns, manage stress and anxiety, and build on the strengths they already have. Therapy with me is not about perfection. It is about creating space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and move forward in ways that feel more honest and aligned.

In our work together, you will find a judgment free space where your experiences are respected and your voice matters. My goal is to support you in building resilience, clarity, and a sense of balance that feels sustainable for your life, not just something you push through.
