Who This Internship Is For

What This Internship Offers

This internship is not about having it all figured out. It is about learning how to think clinically while being supported along the way.

Interns can expect:

• Exposure to clinical work that matches their training level
• Regular individual supervision
• Support with understanding cases and treatment planning
• Guidance around documentation and clinical language
• Space to ask questions without fear of judgment
• Support in navigating anxiety, imposter syndrome, and self doubt
• Encouragement to develop an authentic and confident clinical voice

Supervision Approach

Supervision is collaborative, reflective, and paced with care. We focus not only on what you are doing, but on how you are thinking about the work and how the work is impacting you.

Supervision may include:

• Thoughtful case discussion and conceptualization
• Introduction to diagnostic thinking in a supportive way
• Conversations about ethics and boundaries
• Space to process emotional responses to the work
• Support in building confidence and clinical judgment

Supervision is always adjusted to meet you where you are in your training.

Why I Supervise This Way

I supervise interns the way I wish I had been supervised.

Learning to be a therapist can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time. My goal is to create a supervision space that feels steady, supportive, and honest. A space where you can slow down, ask questions, and make sense of the work without feeling rushed or judged.

I care deeply about ethical practice, self awareness, and the ways identity, culture, and lived experience shape both the therapist and the work. I also believe it is important to talk openly about self doubt, anxiety, and the emotional weight that can come with learning this profession.

Supervision is a place to build trust in yourself as you grow into your role.

Structure and Commitment

• Individual supervision sessions
• Weekly or biweekly meetings based on academic requirements
• Virtual supervision available
• Internship hours coordinated with your academic program

This internship is intended to supplement a primary placement site unless otherwise approved by your school.

Expectations of Interns

This is a shared learning space built on respect, openness, and care.

Interns are expected to:

• Come prepared to supervision with questions or cases
• Engage openly in reflection and feedback
• Communicate professionally and thoughtfully
• Take responsibility for understanding academic requirements

A Note on Fit
